Sponsor a Child Program
Sponsor a Child is a life-giving program that links concerned sponsors with children in poverty who are blind or low-vision, providing a conduit whereby these children may receive vital services. Through sponsorship, children receive such vital services as medical treatment, educational attention, and adaptive equipment needed to thrive despite their setbacks. We work in close cooperation with schools and hospitals for the visually impaired, as well as other organizations within our network, to identify children in urgent need.
Our aim through this program is to impact at least 50 visually impaired children by 2025. The sponsors bring not only material support but also help in instilling a sense of hope and empowerment in the children and their families. It is in nurturing such connections that the positive impacts of the program are propagated in a ripple effect, whereby the children can pursue education and independence, while whole communities have been inspired to take the cause of inclusive support forward for persons with disabilities.
